Canon HQ at VIVID Sydney

Engaging consumers through interactive and inspirational Canon spaces during Vivid Sydney.
Over 3 years (2015-2017) I worked on the flagship ‘Canon HQ’ takeover at the MCA and was involved with everything from floor plans and traffic flow, to programming for workshops, liaising with Canon Master photographers and concepts for all builds and installations, way-finding signage and other creative materials.

Each of the three years that Canon tookover the MCA space, we had to bring to life their brand in an inspiration way and make it ‘the place to visit’ on people’s route during VIVID. We needed to entice people into the space and make sure it was easy for them to navigate and both take part in activations or workshops, take some time to chill out, or ask all the techy questions and test out the top model equiptment.

We created unique activations where guests could capture unique and creative portraits of their time, inspired with playing with light photography. Mini-workshops and performers allowed people to either borrow a DSLR or bring one from home and learn more about how to get the best from their cameras.

I worked on the floorplan for the spaces, came up with ideas for the creative mini-workshops, the furntiure and styling of the space including light installations, as well as designed, photographed and artworked all print and signage assets.
